Jackal
They are small mammal; found in Africa, Asia and southern Europe. They can run at a speed of 16 kilometers per hour for extended period of time. Mostly they are considered as carnivore but they are omnivore. They live single or in pair and occasionally in group with related individuals. They mate with one partner for lifetime. Both male and female mark and defend their territory. The female gives birth to normally 2 to 4 pups. The infants open their eyes about after 10 days. The pups live in the holes or thickets for the first few weeks. The pups start hunting on their own at the age of 6 months.
