RESPONSIBLY BREEDING

 RESPONSIBLY BREEDING

All of the years I’ve been committed to the betterment of this wonderful breed have helped me realize that being a “Responsible Breeder” is not a “title” that can easily be earned; instead, it is a never-ending process of learning and improvement that requires sincere care and love.

I am extremely selective with my breeding dogs –I scrutinize their behaviors, temperaments, health tests, pedigrees, and appearances, as well as their parents’. I’ve learned that quality puppies can only be produced by even higher quality parents.

My dogs all get checked regularly by our reputable vet doctor and canine reproduction specialist. Each litter that I welcome represents a great blessing and a great responsibility. I always do everything that I can to ensure the proper development of each puppy.

From the third day of their lives I expose each puppy to early neurological stimulation exercises until the sixteenth day. This is very important for proper neurological development.

Around the sixteenth day they start my puppy desensitization program, where they will be safely introduced to common loud sounds (blow dryer, blender, vacuum, etc.), car rides, vet office, adults and children. This is just as important as socialization.

Proper socialization and personality tests start after week three. Each puppy gets to learn appropriate communication, body language and social skills. They learn greatly simply by well playing with littermates, parents and people.

By week six they start crate & potty training. I wish I could take more credit for this; the truth is that some of them will learn on their own, simply by following mom and copying what she does; some others might need a little help, but they are very easy to train… CONSISTENCY is the key!

And last but not least –Grooming. I constantly bring my puppies to my grooming studio to brush them, clean their ears, clip and file their nails, and full grooming services, so they are all very familiar and happy with being groomed.

These are some of the most important things that I take pride in doing to ensure the proper development of each puppy that I raise.

Throughout the years I have received great feedback and often compliments on my dogs. I let people know about the work and time that I invest on properly rearing each litter and I can only ask that people interested in adopting one of my puppies will commit to keep up with the good work raising a new forever family member.
